![]() Timed correctly, the blocks should swap again while you're in mid-air, allowing you to land on the higher of the coloured blocks you departed from. Land on the lower step (pink initially), then jump forward just as the blocks disappear beneath your feet and wall-jump off the block in front as it solidifies. You can long jump, but don't actually need to if you have a bit of momentum.įor the second set of beep box stairs, get up to the part where you have to clear two identically coloured boxes at once. Timing for each activation, do a simple jump to the nearest pink block, then back to the previous blue ones, but change direction in midair and, with the run button pressed down, jump onto the elevated pink block and immediately over to the two blue blocks beneath the solid resting area. When you get to the step before the top, jump onto the highest step (blue) when the pink blocks are active, timed so you land when the blue ones reactivate. In the beep block section, when you get to first set of 'stairs', line yourself up on the line between the blocks and you won't fall when they swap over. Some hints for the harder parts of the stage: I can get to the final section pretty consistently, but that ending part is a beast. I beat it using the racoon suit on the Wii U, I'm now trying to do it without power-ups (aka starting as Super Mario with no item in reserve). It's a great level and unlike several others in 3D World, doesn't use the clunky controls (eight-directional movement, notably) to artificially create challenge. ![]()
